Vancouver Underground Utility Services Improvement 

Date: April 2023

Location: Multiple locations in Vancouver areas

Scope of Work

The scope of work entails a comprehensive underground utility service line improvements project in Vancouver. The primary objectives are to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the sanitary infrastructure by excavating, removing existing service lines, and replacing them with new ones. Additionally, the project includes the supply and installation of sanitary, storm, and new watermain services. The excavation process involves the careful and precise digging of trenches and excavating the designated areas to access the existing underground utility service lines. Excavation was performed in accordance with industry standards and local regulations to ensure safety and minimize disruptions. Once the new sanitary, storm, and new watermain services were successfully installed and tested, site restoration were undertaken. This involved backfilling the excavated trenches, compacting the soil, and restoring the surface to its original condition. Any necessary landscaping or site rehabilitation work was completed according to owner’s project requirement.

High-Rise Ventilation Shaft Excavation

Date: March 2023

Location: Brentwood, Burnaby

Scope of Work

The scope of work involved ventilation shaft excavation in one of the condominium development projects in Burnaby. The primary objectives included 20000 ft2 (~1858m2) slab preparation and mechanical trenching for all below-grade utility services including mechanical and electrical. The project involved rock breaking and excavation to establish the necessary infrastructure.The rock breaking process was conducted using appropriate methods and equipment to fracture and disintegrate the existing rock formations. This ensured safe and efficient excavation and preparation for the ventilation shaft.

Excavation was carried out to remove the fragmented rock material and create the required space for the ventilation shaft. The excavation process was performed with precision, taking into consideration safety protocols, engineering specifications, and local regulations.

UBC Bulk Excavation Soil Removal

Date: July 2023

Location: UBC Campus, North Vancouver

Scope of Work

Radius Excavation was responsible of the removal of 3500m3 stockpile from the designated "Site" situated on Nurseries Road in UBC Campus. In order to effectively manage the project, Radius Excavation has devised a plan to arrange traffic management service, implement construction site safety measure, and provide cost-effective excavation service. Radius Excavation successfully completed the project within the allocated budget and ahead of the scheduled timeframe by 30%.

River District Development

Location: River District area in Burnaby

Date: June 2022

Scope of Work

The scope of work involved the excavation and preparation of a 45,000 square feet (4,180 square meters) slab for the River District condominium development project with Wesgroup Properties. The primary objective was to create a stable and level foundation for the upcoming construction project.

The excavation scope included slab excavation, mechanical trenching, 4ft backfill, leveling, and compaction. When necessary, soil stabilization measures were implemented to enhance the load-bearing capacity and stability of the excavated area. This included the addition of suitable fill materials, compaction, and grading to ensure a solid foundation for the slab.

Town Home Development – Underground Utility Systems

Location: Chilliwack, BC

 

Scope of Work

The scope of work involved the excavation project for the installation of a sanitary tie-in and storm retention tank on a townhome site in Chilliwack. The primary objectives were to establish proper sanitary connections and enhance stormwater management within the area.The excavation process involved the careful and precise digging of trenches and excavation of the designated areas to access the existing sanitary lines and storm retention tank location. Excavation was performed in accordance with industry standards, engineering specifications, and local regulations to ensure safety and minimize disruptions.

The scope of work included the installation of sanitary tie-ins to connect the townhome units to the existing sanitary system. This involved the proper connection of pipes, fittings, and related components to ensure seamless flow and compliance with sanitary regulations. The project also entailed the installation of a storm retention tank to effectively manage and control stormwater runoff. This involved excavating the designated area for the tank, preparing the foundation, and securely installing the tank with proper connections and drainage features.
